Appointments

To make an appointment please contact me via phone or email. Before booking your first appointment or placing you on my waitlist I will aim to have a brief phone conversation with you to understand your needs and wishes for therapy, give you an opportunity to ask questions and share a little about myself before proceeding.

Once booked in you will be asked to complete an intake form through a secure clinical platform which helps to gather some useful information about your situation prior to an initial appointment.

Face to face appointments are encouraged.  Telehealth is available.

Monday: 9:00am – 12:30pm (Telehealth only), 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Tuesday: 9.30am – 4:00pm

Wednesday: 9.00am – 4:00pm

Thursday: 9.30am – 5:00pm

Fees

The fee for a standard 50-minute consultation is $240. With a valid Mental Health Care  Plan (MHCP), you will receive a rebate of $141.85 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.  I can offer longer appointments when necessary and charge at pro-rata rates.

I can offer subsidised rates for concession card holders, those in financial stress, and for people volunteering in the environmental and/or social change sectors. Please note: I do not accept NDIS referrals but can see people under self managed plans.

Medicare

For individuals eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), which is provided by your GP or psychiatrist, rebates for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year.  You will initially be referred for a block of 6 sessions.  A re-referral from your GP or psychiatrist is required after Session 6 to access rebates for sessions 7-10.

Further information regarding Mental Health Care Plans and Medicare rebates can be found here.

Health Insurance

Clients are encouraged to contact their private health insurer for information about what psychology services they are eligible to receive funding for through their private health cover. As the number of sessions covered and rebates offered differ according to different insurance agencies, it is important to check your specific coverage.

After session payment, a receipt will be issued for claiming purposes.

Socks

Socks is my family’s wonderful young Border Collie x Jack Russel Terrier.  He has a lovely friendly temperament and he enjoys being in attendance in the room with me and my clients, when I bring him in. Socks and I may train in the future for Socks to become an ‘therapy dog’ and enabling us to practice animal-assisted therapy.  If you would prefer that Socks is not in the room please let me know and I will make sure you don’t cross over.
